Charity Karate Kata-thon

23rd August 2019

One of our previous students - has kindly organised a charity event “Kata-thon” in conjunction with a few other local clubs. This is to help raise money for Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Ward 201 at the Royal Staffs Hospital and the

Donna Louise Trust. I’m sure that at least one of these has provided assistance in most families these days.

The event is a 12 hour long marathon of doing any kata you like for as long as you like. You do not need to stay for the whole 12 hours.

I will be at the event from 9am to 1pm on Saturday 28th September , so it would be great if members of Kaihatsu Do could attend during these hours.

There is an entry fee of £5 per person which also goes to charity. You may want to get sponsorship as well (number of kata, repetitions of kata or time participated - your choice) if you want. Sponsor forms are available - just ask. Or make a

donation if you wish.

You can do ANY kata you like - even Shihozuki.

Location: Shidoshin Kai, Leek New Road, Cobridge (above Tool Fast). ST6 2AS.

Please let me know if you are going to attend, as it’s for charity we should all try to do our best. And who knows this could grow into something even bigger in the future.

Any questions, just ask and thank you for your support.

Yours in Karate

Sensei Mark
