Etiquette

1st August 2013

As all students will know at the start and end of the class, we perform a kneeling bow as a sign of respect to each other and your instructor(s). As you know within Karate we are very strict on politeness and respect to each other.

So, starting immediately I would like to introduce the following sentence to be said after the second bow and before standing at the end of the class only as added form of politeness to all instructors:

Arigato gozai machita Sensei(s).

This means - "Thank you very much Teacher" (note that the Japanese spelling above may be incorrect and is aimed at helping to pronounce the words.

Look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday.

Take care

Sensei Mark.
