CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - CLASS SUSPENSION

Updated: Mar 22

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that today’s class on 19th March 2020 will be the final class for a while. This is due to the impact that CoronaVirus is having on the world and our country. We are now at the point where schools are closing and I find that I cannot justify keeping the classes running in light of this. We will reopen as soon as it is possible to, but be aware that this is likely to be a number of weeks away. Please do not worry about gradings, courses etc. Priority right now is everyone's safety and wellbeing and especially the vulnerable people that we may know and care for.

Please keep a frequent check on our website for the date when we WILL reopen:

To keep everyone going and hopefully to help keep things in mind and prepare for gradings once this is all over I have decided to run Online Training sessions. These will be done by Video Call. The sessions will be FREE and can be done from an iPhone, Android device, Windows and MacOS computers. The set-up process is very straightforward and I will provide instructions and can help with set-up if needed. The schedule will be as follows and the sessions will be mixed for all ages and grades.

Monday 7pm to 8pm Thursday 7pm to 8pm

It may not be perfect but it’s better than nothing, at the least we may have a few laughs along the way.If you wish to take part please send an e-mail to sensei@kaihatsu-do.co.uk and I will send the meeting code and all set-up details to you.

Any changes to schedules etc will be placed on the Club website and Facebook page. If there is demand I will also set-up a WhatsApp group - let me know if you want this.In the meantime if you have any questions, including questions about training, techniques etc or requests for more online sessions please let me know.

Thank you for your support during this challenging time, I wish us all to be safe and well. Please feel free to contact me with any issues or concerns.

I look forward to seeing you all Online soon.

Stay safe
